I have been using these (maybe once a year) for over thirty years. Sometimes they will slip forward when driving up, especially on ice. Modern cars sit rather low, so I may have to jack the car up a bit to clear the body. I recognize that there are those (cantflip) who may discourage the use of wood to hold up a car.
