Hi everyone. Some great info above for sure.
Yeah - i noted that there were loose fit and custom fit as well. I wondered about the advantages. i also didn't consider storage when not in use....Good points to each. Same as to the material selection.
I am in a funny part of new england - snow belt, t-nado belt, huricane, etc. In the winter ...snow belt too. Just missing locust.
Its New England - just wait a minute and it will change.
But for my intended use....it will be outside summer/fall to protect it from wind/rain while the garage gets some work done in it and the house basement i uncover while i swap out the stub frame and front suspension in the driveway.
Based on what i am reading from those with experience in car covers....and the web links provided (Thanks
@Big_John) it looks like I will be in the +$200 range. Sounds like a fitted cover is more of what i should be looking at if i don't want it blowing around. I also see that there is a "soft liner" - fleece on some which takes care of my concern for more scratches or rub marks (as observed on an impala not far from here). That is a good start to help my mind set of being realistic.
The car has always been garaged since its inception. i got the car from its original owners....and it was a tight fit in the single bay garage at the time. It will continue to sleep in the garage during the winter.
Thanks all!
