Carb issue?? Ignition issue? Bad gas??

Greeting Gentlemen,
I feel like I just received a crash course on diagnosing poor running condition. The vast wealth of knowledge in this group is amazing and greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Thanks again gents for all the help. With regards to choke....here in Tampa in August, there is no such thing as a cold engine. The choke never activates, it's 90+ degrees in the shop. OK I'll play with it....

I don't choke the engine out here during the summer. When the sun hits any part of the sheetmetal, after an hr the metal rises to a temperature of 120+F. Iron conducts heat fairly well. Even on those rare Mondays preceded by a weekend without running Gertrude, in the summer, once the sun has warmed that car for a couple hours, there is no need to choke the engine to get a first time start. ONLY when blessed by a good monsoon rain will I use it before autumn. Still, once ambient goes below 70F, a bit of choke on a cold start becomes useful.
