Cool night out driving Goldie

I went out to dinner with my family tonight. I had an older gentleman hunt me down in the restaurant, to talk to me about my car. He was Buddy Byers the owner of the biggest Chrysler dealership in Columbus. He is a feisty 86 years old. He want to know if my car was for sale. I told him it was not.

We got talking, he still works every day but cut his hours to 9:30 to 4:00. He used to race a boat with a Hemi, won several national championships and held several world records. One that still holds today.

Here is Buddy in a vintage race about 12 years ago when he was a young 74. This is in his Chrysler Queen that he set a world record in the 60's of 153 mph.

I'm suprised that anyone who drove a boat that fast lived to be 74 ...... let alone 86.....!!!!!

I went 90 riding in a friends drag boat once ........ I kissed the ground when I got out.
