Called these guys to see if they might have 65 C body sub frame connectors.
The guy said he didn't, but if I brought the car in, they would whip up a set using my car as a pattern, and would then provide them as a stock item.
The cost would be $189 (no extra charge), and he felt they could knock it out within a couple hours.
I wont be taking my car there because of the distance, but, thought might pass it along for future reference.

Welcome to US Car Tool - Make it Stiff

That's pretty cool of them to offer doing that. Anyone live close by that could scoot there C-body down and get a pattern made up. Would be great to have a 65-68 and a 69-73 set in their inventory.

Hey Mike, here are some pics of my s(T)ub frame connectors. I also did a driveshaft safety loop.
Pics are crappy, hope you can see how they are done.
Basically, there is a compound angle in the middle, but, not too tough.
The stiffness is noticeable in a good way. Mine are done in 2x2 thick wall. there are a couple lips that had to be cut out, but really minor.
The safety loop is a generic piece scabbed onto the side of the forward rails

your o2 sensor wont last long like that, its got to be angeled upward not downward! Interested in 68 frame connectors!

Tough lil bugger's been going 3 years, condensation must not build up that far. The leaded racing gas probably isnt too good for it either.

It served it's purpose. I thought I knew how to set up a carb until I installed a wideband. I did not.

Hi Doug, the pics are great. Nice job on the connectors.Did you use the original bolt holes on the crossmember to mount the front connector? Thanx for posting these.

Yes I copied some ideas I had seen, worked out great.
Making sure the parking brake cable worked was one of the biggest considerations.
Once you get under there measuring, cutting, and fitting, it all kind of falls into place.
Oh check your PMs. got the first hood picture today.
