I just bought a set of the correct 15" wheel covers for the Monaco 500. They are the ones which state "Disk Brakes". Now it will look as it did when it was delivered......just 45 years later!

That car has been waiting for you for almost that long. That's a neat find.

Do you have a picture with the new wheel covers?

Funny, some of the original photos that the seller had posted were taken with the original covers, he kept them. I only have one photo on my work computer that shows the car with the correct covers.

I will be selling the covers that are on the car now and I think they are 70/71 wire covers.

Unfortunately down to four..... Bob was nice enough go send me away with five.

Actually, as I've previously posted, I lost one of the five & the other four came off immediately. The next owner will appreciate the authenticity but I drive em like they're stolen so those wheel covers just don't work for that. I painted the wheels black & threw on some caps that I happened to have & I love the way they look.

I'll be equally happy if the car sells or doesn't sell at Nats. I can't even describe how much I love driving this car but if she sells then I'll use the money to buy another car. I'm gonna ask what many here will call a crack pipe price but I will sell the car for only more than what it's worth to me..... I couldn't possibly care what anyone other than the guy who wants her just a little more than I do thinks she's worth.

I like the full covers better too but it would take a lot to make that car look ridicules. I don't think Ross has it in him.

Hmmmm...I have to say I like the previous caps better than the poverty ones. The poverty caps blend in better on Plymouth Dusters or Scamps, not on a classy car like this Monaco.
