Anybody have any ideas where I can get floor mats for my '67 Imp that really fit the car? I've called ACC and Trim Parts and I know they probably have ones that would fit but I don't think they'll fit like I'd like them to. I would like to have them embroidered with the Imperial script or crown but I can probably get that done locally. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

If I want mats the looked and fit properly, I'd have to make a template and give it to my upholstery guy. I think we're all in the same boat.

That's what I was thinking but I thought I'd just put it out there and see if anybody had any experiences.

I bought front mats from Trim along with my new carpet and they are really nice. I can't tell you how they fit as the car is still in the body shop. They are large and they told me they are custom made for each car. The price is right too.

They have a thick rubber backing on them that's really great, but that will prevent any embroidery work from being done.

Stan has the right idea if you want something more custom.

I just bought a set of 4 discontinued gray heavy duty floor mats for $0.04 today from AAP for my NYB.

Go in to AAP and ask them where the discontinued stuff is.....you'll find all kinds of stuff for 5 cents.

Really??? Now you got me curious.

Shipping $199.95.

Matt, are you buying any of this? It's a trick. He wants you to go to your AAP and actually ask them where are their five cent floor mats. Don't do it..

Seriously, Bob? Five cents and you asked for your military discount??

They will not send discontinued stuff back to the warehouse according to my friend that works there. I wasn't sure about the price until l I took it to the parts counter. They just keep reducing the price over time until it sells or the price declines to 5 cents eventually. All the discontinued stuff had red tags and the price end in a 5. The floor mats were on a shelf in back for a long time and I guess I walked in the store at the right time.

I'm not buying AAP floor mats for my Imperial. I'm actually a little bummed at myself for not getting the cut pile carpet when I bought new...

There is a custom floor mat shop here in Birmingham, (al). they made a set of four mats for jazebelle. He made a paper template of the floor and had them ready in a couple of days.

The front mats are embroidered with "300" and bound around the edge. They have a rubber backing with the little "gripper" nubs. Cost was $55.00 for the set. Nice set of mats.

Bingo! Thanks Will. Exactly what I had in mind!

For 5 cents....I can handle those floor mats in my NYB daily driver.

I must be color blind because those gray mats don't look too far off in color from the faded blue carpet in my NYB. No....I haven't put the new carpet in that Stan found on EBay 2 years ago for me. I'm 90% percent sure (Pineapple) my body and paint guy will be able to get my NYB in for body work, paint, and new vinyl this winter. I'll pull the seats out and have the floors done then too.
