You must live in Northern California. You are most entitled to you opinion and outlook. Good Luck.

As I stated in my comment, I live in Southern California, less than 60 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. After living here for 68 of my 71 years, I am not counting on "luck" to go the rest of the distance. I truly know where I live and why I love it.
Agreed. But the same idiots who voted for people who wanted to turn California into a sanctuary state with a very high percentage of folks on welfare that are now bankrupting the social safety net are now fleeing the high taxes, high crime rates and general lawlessness and lack of good citizenship. They then vote for the same type of liberal idiots that caused the problem where they used to live. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Pretty soon there will be no place left to run. Got lots of ammo?

Illinois is the same as Ca and NY. I was born and raised in Chicago. Spent most of my adult life there too. I was able to retire early and couldn’t leave fast enough. The state was just ranked third behind Ca and NY for most people leaving the state. The tax and spend imbeciles in Springfield and Chicago are locked into the squirrel cage. They raise taxes to meet budget shortfalls because y’know, the tax base is shrinking. So then more taxpayers move out. So they have to raise taxes again for the next shortfall and again more taxpayers leave and so on and so on blah blah blah. Its just stupid.
Was stationed in west Texas at Ft Hood. Learned all about the "Y'all" dialect. What I remember the most though was that folks in west Texas could BBQ just about anything from armadillos, racoon, rattle snake, possum and the more usual beef and pork. It was all really good!

Not discounting the actual numbers of tax rates and other things, but it seems to me that much of the negative dialogue about some areas/states of the USA is driven by political purposes. To make one area look bad (for various reasons) as some seek to make themselves look better by not being associated with those areas or orientations.

B.B.C., If they make it all the way to Wilmington they're gonna think they're back home again. Yeah can't get thru' one day here without one ah finger wave to at least one of these Kamikaze's, lolI've talked to a few recent transplants from the Northeast and they all said the cost of living was why they left. 2nd most popular reason was that there are too many *** holes up north.
Then they bring their shitty politics that they are fleeing to their new location and try to force it on the locals.

Most states have pretty uniform laws with few exceptions. What exactly did you do that made you a felon unfairly? The state of California has ruined my life, sent me to the poor house, as well as making me a felon with their draconian Unconstitutional laws, I had no choice but to flee. I'm not where I want to be, but I'm sure as hell glad to be out of that God Forsaken place! I piss on it every chance I get!
I'm curious too. Most states have pretty uniform laws with few exceptions. What exactly did you do that made you a felon unfairly?

California has insane firearms laws. Most anything that shoots is illegal, possession of most of the same is a felony. Dave
