Dodge Caravan Discontinued After 36 Years

Sad to see the end to the Grand Caravan, I prefer the styling to that of the Pacifica but there is no comparison in driving the two back to back. I own a 2017 GT Grand Caravan but it will be traded for the new design Pacifica in a couple of years.

But all the east coast guys are trying to move out west? What do they know that you have missed?

No one is trying to get to a coast. It is the interior of the country that is still conservative America. The coastal ribbons is where the Socialist push is coming from .

Six years and that's all the further you got? What's the final destination, Colorado?

6 years? I've only been outta that state for 3. Wouldn't you like to know? I'm not that much of a Liberal jackass to move there!

I thought it was 6, oh well.

Nope.

You could use a Rocky Mountain High.

I can't believe all the love that minivans are getting here. And now Toyotas. WTF is with you guys, I thought this was a purist group for real American cars? :poke: Makes me want to take out the NYB this evening just to reaffirm my reality.

The Italians have treated Chrysler worse than the Germans. It all comes down to the almighty bottom line.

I cannot forsee kids that grew up in the mini-van wanting to restore one down the road in 25 years.
I grew up in a Sienna, and can confirm I'll never wish to restore a minivan, although that 1000hp manual Odyssey in CA grabs my interest. All our Sienna is good for now is stepping on the parking brake and performing measly frontWD burnouts. I hate it

Minivans....

I only owned mine for a month or two, but I hauled half a car home in one, and half of a porch went in it to the scrap pile, I wish I would have kept it, but I thought I had too many vehicles at the time.

I didn't say West Coast, I just said out West, like around lake Tahoe on the Nevada border in this case and even Idaho qualifies. I don't know of many folks wanting to move towards the East at all..................

I thought Bernie comes from Vermont????

i'm in the works of getting my friends 2001 dodge gran caravan that he "inherited" 107k miles needs a new alternator, ps pump it's making noise, brakes, and the usual tuneup

he's gonna let me have it for the parts he's gonna get for it, and have me install them win win for me

The van I'm looking to get, this has more aftermarket support than my Toyota does

Lee Iacocca pitched the idea of the mini van to the powers that be at Ford and they rejected it.

Actually, Hal Sperlich (whom Iacocca valued) pitched the idea one-too-many times, and HFII fired him. Sperlich went to Chrysler, and when the Big Duece fired Iacocca, Sperlich told his Chrysler bosses to scoop him up. Luckily they listened.
