Sadly a lot of people in Germany (or maybe all of Europe) are afraid of driving their Mopar further away from home than maybe 100 miles. Some faer the fuel consumption, some don't rely on their cars, some... I don't know.

If you maintain your car on a regular basis - what can go wrong? A lot, I know. But we had no problems so far. We travelled from the very west of Germany to the islands in the north of Croatia. Some 685 miles total one way.

And the old lady wasn't missing a beat! Conclusion: Travell. A lot. And don't forget to take your C-body along with you!

We did 635 trouble free miles to Carlisle and back last month. I have another trip planned for next month and that will add another 400 miles to the odometer.

My mother was born in America, but her heritage was full blooded Croatian. Her grand parents only lived 16 miles apart in Croatia, but never met till they got to the USA. It will be 3 years ago this December that she passed.

I've got a little over 1000 miles on the NYer since putting it back on the road. Once I get a few more miles on it I won't have a problem taking long trips with it other than how quickly it empties the wallet.

Excellent sentiment. I just purchased the 1976 NYB last month as the start of my 1622 mile journey... it's funny, I set the trip odometer upon picking it up and never once registered what the actual mileage was... gave a dumb look to everyone who asked... 123kish

The other side of this was I wasn't too worried about it if something did go wrong. I washed it once, gas station car wash no less... Watched an ol fella back into it and shook his hand... Parked it in front of my mother's house where she has been suing the neighbor next door for the last few years... they have a regular cold war going on there.

I just did 2100 miles on the Imp a couple of months ago and will be taking it to the Nats in a few days and I also see an "up north" trip in the vert over the Labor Day weekend next month. I live to drive these cars, it is my favorite aspect to owning them.

Perhaps some day we can join in on the "comfort tour" with Jazabelle.

Today we drove to Baška, a village in the south of the Krk island. The road up to the church and the graveyard where I shot this image was very narrow and with two serpentines, which needed some maneuvering, but we made it. And the view was well worth it.

Yesterday we came to the village of Vrbnik and it was the first time that I couldn't pass a small alleyway - it was just too narrow. I didn't try it, but it definitely looked too narrow. Later we past this spot by foot and we saw a modern BMW almost stuck between the houses... :)
