Curiosity got me on this one so I looked it up. What's crazy is how thin the skin on the missile was. Tethered tools and/or toe boards on the platform probably would've prevented this. Incredible that only one person died in the explosion!
Drop netting came to my mind, they were in a hurry to complete the job. Something about if they didn't make the time frame thus ending their tour and get leave that they would have to stay over for another deployment time(?).

Well the person that died was part of the team that came back in as they had already evacuated the site.
There was another site explosion in Arkansas where 53 members died via the comments in the video from someone in the know about the nukes. Think it was in 1980.
There were many inaccuracies in the Tube video, first they said socket, then showed a picture of a rack of combination wrenches, then said ratchet vs torque wrench. Plus something about Air Force Police/Security coming too site, errr Nuke site security is always on site, I know one of my customers when he was in, that was his classification/deployment.

I can remember in one of my cross country journeys on the Interstate in Arkansas in the 1970's, coming on the opposite side of the Interstate was a convoy of military vehicle's, jeep's, many troop carriers front & rear with a big wide load very large tarped over container in the middle of the convoy. Warhead or rocket section? who knows. No police escort all Military.

Towards the end of the video the tow truck driver looked not all too thrilled about picking up all the pieces. I think the driver should'da stuck with GTA.
