Nothing. Factory painted them black so the body color didn't show through the grill

Hmmm, it was yellow when we started the resto. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that they started painting them black in the later models. I could be wrong. I'll look in to it. Thanks.

It is in that pic of course, but how do you know someone didn't spray it that way long after it left the factory? That orange does not look like a standard 1965 paint color.
