Found a 68 for sale and need some advice/help

I've come across a what looks to be a nice 68 Imp Hardtop for sale on FB, which I don't have. Guy has provided a home number to call rather than mobile and says car is in great condition, but also says needs work. Could somebody who knows the cars well give him a call on my behalf to ask the pertinent questions for a 68 please ? Have a car collector friend who is reasonably local who could go buy for me as I'm not allowed to visit USA yet (covid), but he knows nothing about these cars.

It's only to call the seller, not to do an inspection so location not important I don't think ? or am I missing something?

If you don’t have international calling service on your phones, it can be a very costly connection.

If only that worked, folk think its a scam as I'm not from the USA, hence the request. Plus members with vast experience of this particular model may know better than me what are the relevant questions to ask.
