as we just discussed my car I ran across this picture.
Somone installed a 71 Sport Fury grill on a 70 Fury III
It also has the 71 hood and GT stripes

Dave ever thought about buying a toasty 70 Polara and installing 71 bumpers/dash?

This is Robs car. Anyone that has been around the Drydock knows the owner. Good guy, the car has a 440, buckets and console.....nice looking car

And I eluded to what you suggest in your post..... a thirty year dream and it will be done, but the right way

I have always been a fan of the mix-n-match. In a series there may not be one car that totally fits the bill, different cars may have elements that you like but not one car as a whole is perfect. I may be more of a purest but would probably do something like this within the realm of the different years or grades within the Model or years. Maybe a Polara grill but a Monaco taillight or a mixture of Newport, 300 and New Yorker parts from different years.

At the end of the day it is your car.

Too funny...I just recently had a conversation about this Johnny cash song. I had someone reference it, and I had no clue about it. So he told me what the song was about. :D
