Here are some pictures from Germany's 2023 Mopar Nationals.
There was a new location somewhere in the middle of nowhere on a meadow behind a bikers' club. Back to the roots...

Thanks for sharing! How many cars attend This event? And is it growing yearly?

That light brown (reddish brown) ‘68 Polara 500 Looks in good shape. That color is intriguing. I kind of like it.

That's great. It always amazes me how many Mopars, particularly C bodies, are in Germany as well as Norway and Sweden. In your opinion, are most of the cars built for & exported when new or, recent purchases shipped over?

I would say most cars have been imported in the last few decades. New cars were rare at the time because of the very high import taxes. That's why there were Chrysler factories in Switzerland and Belgium, for example, where cars were finally assembled in order to save taxes. At least in Switzerland it was only A and E bodies, as far as I know. C bodies also came from Antwerp (Belgium), but relatively few compared to the more recent imports.

There was a lot of american cars thanks to the us military base in belgium ( shape near Mons for exemple ). And belgium has no car factory.
There were very bery few american cars in france in comparaison because we had a lot of car factories : citroen, renault, peugeot..

But recent imports are hugh. Hugh hugh hugh. Especially pick up truck, it always amase me.

Mopars are still ( in france ) confidential. No one knows them even people how own one.
Most known are mustang, corvette, delorean. Maybe charger and firebird.

is the owner of this Fury a member here? I remember seeing a thread about this car or the paint job on it.

This year there were just over 170 vehicles.
It was a new location because the old event site was no longer an option due to the dramatically increased costs.
The new site has potential for at least twice as many vehicles, but the poor weather forecast for the weekend may have put some people off.
I hope that the event will return to its former glory next year.

It was always growing. In 2019 before covid there were 352 vintage Mopars attending.

This year the date (Event itself) was just set up two months ago. So many people didn't have time to plan to take a day off early. Or push the family holiday to the right timeframe.
In addition the weatherforecast was real bad the whole week. So many long distance people decided not to come. Actually many local (150 mile radius) people came without Mopar as there was a huge chance to get caught in rain. Those who attended were happy and if it will be again at the same spot and promoted early I am sure it can return to a 300+ outcome again.

If you mean the Chrysler 300, then yes I am the owner. I can not tell you much about the paintjob itself. It was like this when I bought the car. Wasn´t really a fan of the Hurst like theme at first, but it has grown on me. You either love it or hate it.

Dutch photographer Willem Vernooy went through the trouble of taking a picture of the car and me at this event, just before the rain started pouring down..

That’s awesome. I’m digging the paint scheme. Drive and enjoy.

Thanks Jörg @300L for posting the pictures and thanks Carsten @fc7_plumcrazy for doing the statistics.

Jörg and Carsten both have already mentioned the keypoints why we had only approx. 170 cars on site (MOPARS in total, not only C-bodies).

One cannot change the weather, so you have to take it as comes. From about 4pm on it really poured until 6pm, so even our “acceleration-test” at a small nearby airport, was canceled. That little “test” always is a highlight and sets this car-meeting way apart from others, where cars usually are only displayed.

However, the cancellation was the right decision because with all the water on track it would have been really unsafe conditions (there are usually a lot of spectators standing left and right to the 2-lane-blacktop).

The staff of moparshop.de who sets up these Nationals deserves much credit for making this event happen again: the rules set up by local muncipalities here in Germany are getting more and more and thus it takes a lot of enthusiasm to pull through to all this bureaucratic BS (enviromental concept, safety concept, etc. etc. blablabla).

Finally, some of mine pics, not specially focused on c-bodies, but on things interesting to me...favourite was the tiny lime-green air-grabber trailer with a matching 70 RR.

Hope you enjoy!
