good deal yes or no?

While conducting a routine search on e-bay, I came across this sale for a complete 8 3/4" axle bearing package. I wanted to share it with you here to get feedback to help me determine if this would be a good deal or not. As always, your thoughts and advice are greatly appreciated.

I'm hesitant to buy 40 year old seals. The bearings and related hard products would be fine. Leave the NOS stuff for the guys doing the 100 point resto's.

Me I run this type of kit with Timken bearings....

Thrashingcows, I am again in debt to you for your sage advice. Not only does your reply make perfect sense, it is also $75 cheaper which is always a bonus.

Your very welcome....Also make sure when you take your axles in to have the new bearings installed....that they actually understand how everything goes together. And make sure your "SHOW" them that the axle adjuster is in perfect working condition. Advice I've garnered through poor work quality, and customer service.

Also, make sure they use a press to remove and install. No torches allowed on tempered steel axle shafts.
