Many fond memoriez of combining Dominion Day and the 4th of July for a whole week of kick back and party time in Toronto. Any body care to take a guess on what a complete re-stocking of one of those little refrigerator-barz in an up scale hotel costz? lmfao

My oldest daughter was born on July 1st and her kids are still totally blown away when that their mother's birthday is celebrated with a national holiday and that she always gets fireworks!

To all Canucks, enjoy the day with your families. To all Americans, watch how its done and have a blast on the 4th of July!!!

To everyone else, party anyway, a good party is good for the soul!!

Yeah, Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canucks and a Happy Independence Day to all of our American members this coming Saturday! :)

Fireworks tonight...weather's nice...I'll be there, then there's the BACE Downtown Cruise Night tomorrow evening. :yaayy:

Isn't it called "Dominion Day" in Canada....?
I remember it being a big deal to go downtown Detroit and watch the fireworks display, set off a barge in the Detroit river, as a joint celebration of Dominion day and Independence day.

Hasn't been Dominion day for a loooooong time. 1982 was the last time.

I hadn't realized they had changed the name. Didn't get the memo.
It was always a great time as Detroit Mi and Windsor Ont would come together and put on a fantastic fireworks display in the river between them. There was a little park near the Ambassador bridge and we would get there early and make a day of it.
