Here is an article that I found interesting. China does not follow any environmental laws and does not force corporations to do so either. Main reason everything is produced over there.

IMHO, my theory is that everything imported into the USA should came from a factory that complies with the same standards we do.

It's really simple, in fact, a model is in place with the ISO standards and some of the auto supplier standards. Some of the European companies do that to us before they import, so it's not that far a stretch.

I think it would put the US factories back on an even playing field with the offshore plants. It would also have the advantage of cleaning up the air and water. The lower wages would be offset by lower shipping costs so it could end being pretty even.
