I am looking for a headlight switch, in the dash, for my '66 300.
Looked on the web at all the ones that they say will work, but not too sure.
Would really like a NOS switch.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

NAPA sells exactly what you need, Mopar used that same switch in vans, pickups, etc for a number of years. I bought one for the '66 300 I had because the dash light dimmer went bad. Cost was reasonable too.

I know this is an older thread but one of my electical issues is no dash lights. I have the idiot lights alt/cold, but not bright light indicator. Can both of these problems be my headlight switch? I have never had an older car's dimmer hooked up the bright light indicator, so I'm thinking 2 different problems.

If I had to guess, I'd say its a ground problem with the instrument cluster.

The idiot lights all ground separately through the harness, but those other bulbs ground to the circuit board, which grounds through it's mounting screws to the frame of the instrument cluster, which grounds through it's mounting screws to the dash itself. Lots of places for things to lose contact over the years.

The bright indicator doesn't go through the dimmer at all.
If the lights in the heat controls/radio/ashtray/clock work with the dimmer, then you know the switch is ok.

Just to pass on some information for anyone else. I replaced the head light switch on my '66 300. I now have all my dash lights and my bright light indicator. A lot easier fix than I thought it might be and it was only $15 at AutoZone.
