headlight upgrade

Stop picking at me (I say that joking cuz I really don't care). They are legal and no brighter than any modern car. Here pic of the box, 35w. We all here to enjoy our cars the way we want to. :) ever hear the line about opinions? Yes we all have them lol!

I can't disagree with you because you are going by the box.
I will say this. Low beam Xenon 5-3/4" dual element lo/hi lamps are almost always rated 55/60W. If your outer lamps, the low beams, are single element 35W only, there's something amiss here.
Where did you get them? Is there an online description of what you bought?

They are 35w single filament bulbs. I have 4 bulbs and 4 housings. Nothing amiss here. I currently do not have the correct harness to run all 4. It will arrive tomorrow. I will ask my brother where he bought the parts from as built his own kit dorm different places. He is very frugal that way. Look at it this way. No more high or low. It's either 2 or 4 on. Although I do not think all four would ever be needed. I will adjust the inner two up more to shoot further down the road to act as high beams. Yes at that point it would blind people however I am a courteous driver and I wouldn't use all 4 with on coming traffic.

Commando1 I've read thru many of your other posts and you tend to be a bit rough on people. However even tho you clearly do not like my project you seem interested in it. I will be more then happy to supply you with the information you request when I get it. I think you like them more then you admit :) it's ok... We can have much different opinions on things and I'd still be the first one to buy ya a beer at any show!

I flat out ask questions. I love to talk tech stuff. I am not mean nor am I rough.
Your way is new to me and I want to understand why you are doing it that way.
I know what I know and it is only slightly more than the average American bear.
Your setup doesn't make sense to me and goes against everything I know about the DOT regulations on lighting.
(And I do know a lot about that).
So bring me up to snuff or I'll remain unconvinced that your system is a legal improvement. That's all.

Well I am not a tech guy. I just read the instructions and put them in. Legal or illegal I dont know. Im sure if you look on the box on my flowmater 40 mufflers im sure they violate some noise thing "for off road use only." I am not a dealer and I will not debate DOT regs as I could care less. If I get a ticket ill pay my fine, wouldnt bother me in the slightest. People like different things. Want to talk real interesting tech stuff? I am the operation manager for a company that adhears componets to glass, now that is intersting stuff!

Ok if anyone interested in this I will put a IPB together and be more then happy to share thru messaging. This thread is just trurning into p*issing match and I'm over it.

I wish I could install xenon on my imp, but unfortunately in germany it's only allowed in combination with an automatic headlight range control and a headlight cleaning system be prevent blinding others. Both are not really upgradable to an 69 Imperial...

You give up way to easily and quickly. He enjoys being toyed with, led around in to different tangents, taken down dead end streets of frustration. Then you abandon the thread.

These are DOT approved 7" replacements for 6014 6015 6016 and H6024's

I am in the process of modifying my hideaway headlamp buckets to accept a 6.97 (7") dia. bulb so far it seems to be working ok.

The manufacturer is considering production on the small 5.7" dia. sealed beams that were used in all quad headlamp cars.
There are a few others in the market currently but they are over $400 ea. so that is a non starter

IMHO there has been a desperate need for a sealed beam headlamp bulb replacement for many years.
