Hello ......

Lack of aftermarket weeds out the weak. It separates the men from the boys.

When you get into something like my '53, there is no aftermarket or repop parts. None... ziltch.... zippo....

So i had a 63 Imperial and a 1960 Dodge Dart back in Australia but they are sold now, does anyone want to see the cars? i understand this sub forum is for owners right?

I have one and really enjoy it scan0003.jpg

Yeah, it's a 52 with a 51 engine - my dad was kinda like me, just build what you want.

Right now I'm doing this Desoto and a 51 Mack truck. when they are done my next job is a 60 Fury Convertible. Very rare A/C Christmas 201320140122_01.jpgChristmas 201320140122_02.jpgChristmas 201320140122_03.jpgChristmas 201320140122_04.jpgcar with power windows and power seat. Here's the before pictures.

Nice Chris. The 60 looks like the previous year twin to my 61, Similar options, same color in and out. Tried finding parts yet? I know of a nice set of four headlight trim rings.

thanks Will

Your welcome Bryan. The 61 Fury is a pretty well equipped car for a Plymouth.
It has P/S, P/B, P/windows, P/seat, padded dash, radio & heater, deluxe, (aero) steering wheel, solex tinted glass, optional all vinal interior, headlight bright trim package, front grille guard, full wheel covers and 800 X 14 whitewall tires.
It's a 318 torqueflight. It has only 41300 miles on it.

As for your question, the 62-63 & 64 full size mopars never had a style designation, (like forward look or C bodys), that I know of. The intermediate size introduced in 62 were called B bodys for the first time.

Chris, you really need to be congratulated on your success on becoming arguably the best name in Mopar restoration since leaving busses behind. Seriously. I'm glad i know you and I really do want to meet you some day. 2019 when I drop off my Newport? I can also meet Dave as he's picking his up....

All you really need to do is attend Carlisle this July. Both Dave & Chris will be there as well as several other members, including Jer and Matt from what I understand.
Seriously Stan...... figure out a way.....

I don't own it but here's some pictures of a 59 Desoto I'm doing for a customer.

This DeSoto is a perfect example of the C body heritage. If the C body designation were in place in 1959 ...... this would be one. First year for the 383 it is a powertrain that carried through the C body era.
Thanks for the picture Chris...... Let the owner know about this thread.

More pictures of the Desoto. Got it on the rotisserie so this week the underside will be prepped, epoxy primed and undercoated.
