I need some advice. If this has been discussed I apologize. This is literally the last items to be removed and the painting and reassembly shall commence.

It is the bushings in the lover control arms. The service manual says carefully remove with cold chisel and an on-line tip says use a reciprocating saw. I wasn't brave enough to try the saw today, my eyes are a little tired. I tried a cold chisel and various punches, but decided to quit before I really screwed something up.

The best way I've found is to take a die grinder and grind two slots across from each other in the bushing. Grind until the bushing wall is paper thin. Then knock the bushing into itself with a chisel and remove.

I like your idea Big John thanks. I can take it nice an slow, the complete opposite of the reciprocating saw.

I used a sawzall, or reciprocating saw and it worked great.

This is similar to what I have done in the past, I used a dremmel to make the two slots. Good luck!
