How bad is the gas mileage on these yaghts?

Imperials did typically get more mpgs than Cadillacs and some Lincolns . . . in comparison.

The Lean Burn system was not about fuel economy, it was about fewer emissions using computer controls (crude as they might have been) such that no catalytic converters were needed on LB cars, the first could of years.

Lean burn is about emissions.
It takes a certain amount energy to move mass. Yes different vehicles have different efficiency levels, but it still requires energy to move mass. The only way to save fuel is to make your engine more efficient. Tuning will make it more efficient for little effort set the timing to highest vacuum at idle and in and around 36°btdc at ~3500 rpm

I am in the middle of my road trip . 15.14 mpg with car loaded and driving through mountains average speed 104 kmh or 65 mph
