Are you using a proper hub puller? Its the only way its going to happen.I m in the process of redoing the rear end, and the passenger side has been separated from the hub but the driver side is not. I am trying my best not to mess them up, but they are the factory drums with the factory shoes!! I have slowly been pulling the drum and hub off with atf/mineral spirits, but it is not going well, so just in case I do mess them up, I would love a second set.

Ive been beating it with a 3lb maul!!!! It will come off but Im in no hurry, I have found out when I rush things I tend to screw **** up, so I m in no hurry, I have all winter. Thanks.Tighten it real hard, then take a heavy mallet and give it a good hard hit on the end and it will pop off, I dont think I have ever had one stay stuck, brute force and ignorance wins every time. s_dancing2:
What year are they from? Because they changed the depth and angle of the taper, when they went to the Bendix style brake set-up....I believe.
