I've bought a hubcap from Ebay that was supposed to be a 15" Dodge cap. It has the same general appearance of my 68 Polara's hubcaps. But diameter is a bit larger. I have 15" tires on my Polara so I'm assuming the hubcaps are 15". I've linked below to two pictures. The first is what I bought from Ebay, from the back. The second is what's on my car. I'm wondering first, what did I get from Ebay and secondly what do I have on the Polara?

Thx! Sounds like i bought the wrong cap. So I should be looking for 14" caps? Also, any idea if I could use 69 to 73 Chrysler caps? They seem to be plentiful.

It looks like the wheel cover you bought on Ebay has something attached to it, like a trim ring. I've never seen that type of arrangement. It's like it has an adapter to fit a 16" wheel.

@Big_John That is a 15" wheel cover. It won't go on a 14" wheel.

I can't open the drop box to see what is wants to show.
I know now it a 15" wheel and it's proved by another picture that wasn't there last night.

But here's a 14" wheel (my Barracuda) and it's measuring 15+" at the edge of the rim and the picture I looked at. In my defense, that looks like 15" measured at the same spot. Getting these two pictures together, it looks now like the tape measure is not against the wheel and is sitting on the center of the wheel cover.

I'm still struggling with this. 15" rim but the cap is closer to 14". Weird.

I'll see if the trim ring is removable today.

Wheel diameter is not measured at the edge of the rim, but at the bead seat area. You could have a wheel cover that measures 15" on a 14 inch rim, depending upon how much of the rim itself is covered.
Witness the pictures in post #8. See how the Barracuda rim edge is covered, the Polara is not.

14" wheel measure 15.25" to the out edges of the rime.
15" wheel measure 16.25"
I was measuring some wheels this AM, and some are 1.5" over the tire size on the rim edges.

The cap in the first photo does not go to the rim edge, so you will see the painted rim edge with the cap on.

The rally wheel trim ring goes just past the rim edge and you don't see and rim beyond the ring.

I have a cap as seen above, it is 15 1/16" diameter.

Are you certain you have 15" wheels on your Polara? It looks like they are 14" and the cap you bought on Ebay is a 15."
My 60 Dodge has 14" wheels but the caps measure 15" because they cover the rim totally.

Whoever said it was an adapter was right. The outer stainless lip came off the Ebay cap. After I removed that it popped right on. Thx all!
