Cars in that condition here in Southern California, are going for $2500 not running or even more. Just do a search on CL in Los Angeles or Orange County for Fury's and you will see what I mean.
Example, like this 1966 Sport Fury "rare C' body" as the seller states, the car is in pieces and not running, and he is asking $4000

Or this non running 69 Vert for for $3200

AND, if you want a good laugh, seriously, take a look at this so called 73 Gran Fury all original car... lol

67 Sport Fury with a 383 BB for $5500, doesn't look as nice as the Denver car but it could be? I dunno...

Maybe thats why I think the one in this Denver ad isn't so bad at $6300 lol, as you can see, what some said they would pay for this running driving Fury, like $3000, in California, I can't find one that is even all together, let alone running for $3000

OUCH! now that is a typical 65' model. It puts a rust free one in a different perspective! It appears a few here are way out of touch with current market values. You can wish all day long that they are worthless, but they are not worthless.

You said, it, they are not worthless...I am thinking I want to buy that Denver "Furry 1 1 1" for his asking price just to piss some people off lol, but I digress, all in good fun guys:D, but you know what, I could buy it at 6300, give it a good cleaning and detail and probably sell it here for 10k!!

My Nephew in Phoenix is looking at this car. More than a few are, offer cash and pull it off, it won't be for sale a lot longer. my Relative Intends to install a 440HP with vintage A/C, and go. I suggested a 64' in the area, but he Isn't listening.

You aren't used to looking for the rot. Those southern CA cars would bring better $$ here where the cars rot (not rust.. rot) away from the winter salt use.

The Boston car is very rusty. That type of rust in the quarter most likely means structural rot too. Basically you only fix Hemi cars (or maybe 6bbl SFGTs LOL) if they are that gone. Some people would jack up the VIN tag and drive another car under it!

Obviously if looking for a driver then this isn't it. If one likes to put their car together, like me, then this could be a good deal. Good since the seller will soon learn that his market is limited because many don't like to buy a car in parts. Once he learns that and sees that he most likely never get $4000 then I would pay a visit. Reality sucks sooner or later...

Yeah im looking for a driver with a solid drive train and body. I dont mind a nice patina and some character to the car as far as minor dings. I don't have the means/tools/proper know how to rebuild engines and do body work. Trim work or getting seats redone I can handle that financially to have it done for me or try to tackle it myself.

You guys are funny! This whole thread I imagine were sitting around someone's garage shoot'in the shiet about cars and having a good time.

I am late to the party but I agree the 66 Fury 111 (III, 3) for 6.300$ is just a little bit high. 5k$ would be a fair price. It has a BB at least, is solid and could be driven immidiatly. Even though there is a rip in the seat and the paint worn on the top it is still a presentable driver. I know a lot of guys who don't care for options so they would live fine with benchseat, no PB and no AC.

AC BTW has no value to most people in europe. There would be days/weeks where you could use it but most of us prefer to simply drive with the windows down as our temperatures ar not that extrem

Hmm... Scrap value is at least $400. Good chance to double your money!

I was joking as it was earlier insinuated some folks in this thread only want to give about a quarter on the dollar for everything no matter what the starting price is

however to be clear I'm not making a comment on if that were true or not .. I just thought it was funny and thought that's why Ross posted that car .. to show what a lower priced car wolud actually look like.

Thats exactly how we approach just about everthing at this site. 10 old car guys sitting around a pot belly stove with 10 different opinions. Wouldn't have it any other way.
