Just listed and priced $2k too high.
I'll let him cool his heels for a couple a of weeks and give him a call.

This is the one I've been looking for. It won't get closer than this.

If that car is in Lakeland Stan you better jump on it before your buddy Lash buys it and dips it in Armorall and Krylon and ads a one before the $4500.

I thought of that, Chris, but he doesn't touch fixer-uppers with a ten foot pole.
He only wants shiner-uppers....
Plus, theres a sort of a minor glut right now. The snow-birds are leaving in droves saturating the For Sales.
Looked at a Jag XK-8 yesterday for $6,000. He buys in the fall and sells in the spring.

As somebody said earlier "saweet"!

I dont follow that philosophy ..... only if its a I kinda like that car. If its a gotta have it car then it doesnt matter

It's not my gotta have car. It would be a luxury to buy it, not a necessity.
I'll be dead honest with you. If my NYB got totalled, my gotta have it car will be another one. I've always liked these cars even when new but now I'm head over heels in love with them now. I can't ever see myself not having one now.

I have that disclaimer with everything isay. I have said it here before, my feelings and thoughts will probably be different tomorrow

I was surprised that there was so much interest in my NYB when I was buying it in York, Pa. I was sitting in lot lizard's office and a fellow from Virginia called about the NYB (he had it on speaker phone) and the guy said he was going to drive up if I didn't buy it. The lot lizard said the guy has called 5 times in the last 2 days asking about the NYB. I don't think the phone call was staged for a car he was asking $3k. There was so much stuff broken or not working when I was inspecting/negotiating with him that he stopped me to go get a notepad and pen so he could write down everything that was wrong with the NYB. He didn't have a clue what was wrong with the NYB. I walked away when he said his asking price was firm. He called my cell 20 minutes later. I ended with the car and gave a little over half of his asking price.

If it was........it didn't help his cause any. I gave him a little more than half of his advertised asking price.

This lot lizard was so disorganized that I'm surprised he could find the keys to my NYB much less put together a fake organized sales call. LOL!
