My son moved back near home to escape California. We went to help him get settled into a quiet river town and while we were out wandering around, I spotted this in an alley. Very solid, running Imperial. I spoke with the owner and *sigh*.....yes, its for sale. So now I'm negotiating a price to buy it......dang the luck!!

Nice looking car. When i find a car i immediately call a friend to talk me out of buying it.

Obviously, your son chose a "good neighborhood". You going to blame it on him or California?

Looks like a very nice car, from the pictures. You going to persuade your son to keep it at his place, so you'll have a reason to get out of your house?

Enjoy!

How rewarding of a "retirement job" it could be to polish all of that bright-work and chrome, to make it sparkle in the daily sun, again! Make It Shine Again (MISA) . . . by hand.

Enjoy!

Thanks for all the kind words and praise for this gal!! I've always liked the style and elegance of these Imperials and I've never seen a 2dr in real life. I've been blessed for sure!! The MoPar Gods have been very, very good to me. Maybe my son will get the privelage of driving it, since it was him that brought me to her. California's loss is our gain.

Very nice, clean looking Imperial. Congrats on your find. You don't see too many of that body style.

Great car !! What size of engine would be in a car like that ? I’m guessing a 413 .

The '62 Imps are one of the most desirable years. Can't tell from the photo if it is black, or some other dark color, sure looks nice "from here" though. They have plenty of power with the 413, and once you get used to the layout of the push-buttons, and oblong steering wheel, they are great drivers. Good luck with it.
