imp fuel tank lock rings

i haven't removed tank yet are there 2 rings used one for sender an 1 for pump? i get different part numbers and would like to have what i need on hand tks

What year? For all the years I am familiar with the Fuel pump is nowhere near the tank and only one lock ring is required for the sending unit.
 
Save the origional one the replacement lock rings are thinner and usually leak.

You really should include more information about your car when you ask for advice. On top of that, this forum is generally concerned with 1955 to 1975 cars, so when you're outside that limit you really should say "What should I do about my Dodge Viper's gas tank locking rings.....?" or whatever.
