Hi,
I have this manifold part number 2843992-2
It seems like it will sit right on the head ? Is this correct, or been reworked too far ?
Thanks for any input

It is for a B body car, wont fit C body.
They are in reproduction so not much value.
If its cracked, not worth fixing.
,IMHO

What makes it unique to a B-body car? Just curious.

How has it allegedly been "worked"? Just curious.

How else might it be termed "junk"? Just curious. I heard that word thrown around too much these days, if it might be otherwise "good", but is not what somebody seems to want, for example.

Thanks,

The location and angle of the flange makes it a bad candidate for a C body. I still kick myself for not buying that NOS C body one at the nats one year for $40. I was too tired to carry it. LOL!

Is that one cracked? It looks fine to me. They are recessed like that, at least I know my 67 only B body is.

No cracks, my concern was there is not much of a flange at the rear. Potentially resurfaced too many times.

I got this with a bunch of other parts....

Is there a correct part number for a '68 C Body (Newport / New Yorker) with 440 for the HP manifolds ?

This is mine same as yours. Is yours cut down more than this? Quite sure this is original.

Thanks for info:

Mine is cut down a bit more

Hmm....got it, I have a b-body set up.

For the C-Body, Passenger side - anyone have a part number ?

The Drivers side - quite a difference between '67 and '68. I would think both would work as motor, steering column are all the same. It would seem the connecting exhaust at the factory was different - perhaps to make assembly easier.

100% true. With that said, I have that on my '68 Fury from when I was a teenager and didn't know any better. The muffler shop had quite a time building a head pipe for it. It's been on for over 50 years now.
