Local Scrapyard Pics

What's the name of it and are they open on weekends? I have family down that way and could make a trip myself...
I was stuck in Herndon for a few days so to kill time I drove around the countryside. I came across a long closed yard, maybe, 20 acres, with weeds and brush as high as the cars.
I knocked on a door of a house at the front of the property and asked permission to walk it.
Yes, the cars were all shot to hell but they were mostly cars from the 50s 60s and some 70s. There was a barn full if motorcycles, American and foreign.

When Google Earth first came out I was able to locate it again.

Tried again last night but couldn't find it to save my life. Gonna keep trying though.

If you find it let me know, I'd definitely go for a ride one day to see if it's still there!

There used to be tons of junkyards I used to go to as a kid they are all gone now sadly. There used to be one in Mt Pleasant Mills PA the guy had EVERYTHING 100s and 100s of old cars nothing newer then 75, He had over 200 convertibles alone.

There was one in Richmond, CA that even though fenced in the cars were high enough to see. Many cars from the 50's and many the less seen ones like Desoto, Studebaker, Packard and so forth. Passed by it 5 years ago and always wanted to stop be but waited too long. Either the city or the state got after them and now it is just an empty field.

When I saw it, it was basically closed and overgrown. They had a small repair shop.
Looks like somebody cleaned it up and expanded the business.
I wonder how many went to the crusher since...

I call it my church, because I usually visit on the Sabbath and I always evangelize with a "HOLY **** "!!!! I tend to go in early November when all the foliage is down, wasps and ticks are goneand the ground is firm
