Long live the Admiral.

I road up to Crossville Tenn yesterday to visit my buddy Jim and look into the truck he said I could use for the trip to Carlisle. He has several and said I could choose. Back in one of his buildings was this 05 1500 that he had taken on trade, that I had not seen before. It was not insured or registered and he said he would take care of that on Monday.
We pulled it out and put it on a hoist to look it over. Drove it about 5 miles. It was owned by an 82 year old man and is immaculate. Could use tires and perhaps brake pads, (4 wheel disc's). The only thing I could find wrong with the truck is that it is black. It has all the right equipment without going overboard including the towing package.
Well, one thing led to another, The reasonable and practical side of me came out, and I bought the truck. And Jim took care of me price wise.

The truck I needed on several levels. No pressure to find the right replacement for the Admiral. Which could still happen at Carlisle, just can't count on that.

A couple of pictures.....

And Yeah .......... It's got a Hemi.

Great score Will, it looks like the truck will serve you well.. things have a way of working themselves out, glad you're coming to Carlisle this year. Hope to see you soon.

Congrats Will! Looks very clean! Think you'll enjoy it. They ride great.

One word of advice, get a cover (carpet/whatever) for that clean dash. The plastic is cheap, and cracks fast in the southern heat. Mine lasted a while but just cracked right down the middle on the passenger side last month.. Mopar wants $600 just for the dash top.

Lmc has em for 275$... lol

I'm glad you found a way to take the pressure off... looking forward to seeing you in July. Let me know if you want a copilot for the search before Carlisle... or want me to look at something along the way.
