i picked up a 65 sport fury recently.
its a 383-4-auto car,and it was in a bad way.
car had 39k original miles and was hit in side,
then had unknown entity attempt their first bondo job ever,
with moon craters now on the side of the car.
last inspection was 93 out of NJ,and its a NJ build car.

this car sat outside on a main street, nobody wanted it,it was there all winter long.
prior owner had taken most of it apart...with? gusto but not much smarts.
i said no to this car Twice before Really looking at it,under it,
at the tarp covered motor, and then buying it.
turns out somewheres along the way this car got a 440 transplant, win for me.
wont mention the frozen carb that shot fuel out only one nozzle,
or the points that were fused together.
ive managed to piece it somewhat back together, still working on interior assembly.

im trying to figure out if this car is rare, not that its worth anything,but...
the colors Seem? to be triple turquoise /exterior-top,bottom/interior-everything/carpeting.
theres no dashpad,no holes for a dashpad, and its fact paint as well?
is that any kind of unusual?

at first,i thought the car was turd green ugly, because its faded to death,
and then i washed it and could see the paint shine.
kinda hooked on it now.
would like to know the place to buy some of this paint,
and how much id need to redo the whole car.
LL1 on fender tag?

as far as right away stuff,i have No Hood, didnt come with one.
willing to drive to get one,if anyone has it.
im in western ny state, near rochestor,.
i also need outside trim,specifically the d-side and p-side Door trim/Spears
a used w no dents please front bumper,a lower qtr patch panel for pass side rear
and a huge patch panel for the drivers side qtr from the door to the rear of the car.
ill post pics tomm,of this latest pile.

any help would be awesome, and hey,
the guy i got this from has a 65 sport fury 383 4 speed numbers matching car needing bodywork for sale too.
if thats anything yall would be interested in,lmk.

heres the cars as found.

I have a '68 RR that was originally LL1 turquoise and I know at my buddies paint shop he was able to find the recipe to mix it iirc. I'm not going with the exact color on the car though but close.

thanks for the link,i hate to bother Eberg but i did signup,
so well see what he says.

Matt, did your turquoise turn out Lighter than original?
everywhere ive looked, every car ive seen restored,
they all seem to be lighter and not as dark as Og.

Honestly I don't remember, it was a while ago. I wanted a bit more wow factor so although it will be close, it won't be the factory version of LL1.

i talked to my local Napa guys, they supply and mix all the local shops paint.
and they cant even find the code LL1 in their database..?
Edit, thanks BlueFury that page is what ill printout and take to napa.

still waiting to hear back from Eberg.

next up will be finding this turquoise carpeting...?
i even need the stuff for the sides of the console too.
anyone got a link for this?

at any rate, heres day 2,swapping out the left hand studs,
and piecing more of the car together.

This is from the '68 color and trim book.

The car is a little rough. Been sitting since the early 80s no m/t need front floor pans and rear quarters and quarter extensions. But not bad other than that. Unfortunately this is the only sport fury I have. All the other ones are fury 1,2, and 3s. The first time I seen the car I liked it immediately! Even with the rust and broken windshield! When I took it through a car wash on the way home. That's when I got a good look at the paint. Very odd color but I love it. The interior is rough! But it's there. Lol. It's been raining for the last 4 days here. I can get some better pics of it this weekend too.

A pic of the day I got her. I ended up buy three furys from this guy in North Dakota! Now just need the money to get this one going!

are any of those parts cars?
i have need of 5 zillion trim clips on that body side moulding lol
mines barely hanging on.
they can come off a 4 door trim im thinking,
clips have plastic squeeze prongs for holes in body,
they push in/out and the ends of the trim pieces unbolt/small nut
then carefully pry trim out away from body
and the clips just slide out in slots cut in trim edges.

o,and i just noticed,you have a dashpad!
i wondered if they had them in that color.

I'll check out my inventory once. Lol one of the 4 doors is a parts car. I have a bunch of them clips from a 2 door I parted.

did you find those ?
i could actually use a bunch of trim id love to call you or?
lmk thanks.

got a little bit done on the fury, points plugs mufflers carb.
runs great, made me smile for sure, knowing i have a runner.

next up is thermostat, exhaust gaskets and brakes.
urgh brakes...urgh drum brakes...urgh to the power of urgh.
what junkyard swap vehicles are preferred for a 65 c body front end disc brake swap??

and has anyone had to redo their rubbers in the cabin?
i have quite the gap between the windows and the top....
and i can see where something was there attached.

i ended up buying universal clips part number 19378
these can be trimmed and bent into proper form for the side molding.
ive noticed the originals are super flimsy right in the middle where the thin arms go outwards and might be junk anyways after one use.
thanks tho,cheers.
