ok small issue this afternoon, I am about done with the '73 disc brake conversion on the '65.. I have the power assist booster/reservior from the '73 and the mounting surface is different on the 65 firewall... does anyone know of a dual master direct bolt up with my '65 peddle? First time on this job, help is appriceated!

If you didnt have a power assist pedal in place before then you will need to get one. You will also need the flat plate that goes behind the power booster on the firewall that matches the booster. Lastly, I believe you will need the brake pedal bracket to suit the power booster too.

I have the plate on the power booster and mounting plate. Guess I'll need to locate pedal. Thank you much!

lol I scored a 5500 converter on the cheap! Honestly, thank GOD for Murray Park! He had a 65 power brake pedal and mounting plate at the yard. He said I'd be much happier with the conversion using the booster anyway... Saved!

You had manual brakes and are going to power, how are you going to put that big roller cam in there?:poke:
I have a 72 Fury and I am adding the "big roller" in and I am hitting Power Booster. I ordered a smaller diameter Power Booster from Summit and hope it will fit. The "how are you.." has me worried as I wait for the new part. Is Power Brakes with 440 Stroker not possible - is that what you are saying?

I was giving Chris some friendly ribbing but what Stan says is true big duration cam equals low vacuum brakes will be compromised below around 10" or so.

I was thinking something entirely differently thinking a fitment issue. But forgot the pointer on cam duration which is important to note. Thanks!
