My last two purchases.

do what your heart tells you to do.

Wouldn't work for me as I would know better.

My brain is telling me to auction off my entire lot and got get my 70 Charger I've always wanted. My heart tells me I will regret it. I follow my heart.

I wish it was further along but I have a car buying problem... on the plus side the cowl looks excellent with only the passenger lower corner of the windshield channel need a little work. Overall very happy with the car.

I have had zero luck on door panels so when the time comes for you to start the resto, you know where to send the green ones.

This car had only a dashboard in it when you got it Steve?

Yes, when I do the resto on my keeper, the door panels have your name on them.
All that was in the interior of your car was pretty much just its dashframe and door panels. I rescued it out of a salvage yard in the Virginia after some parts had been taken off of it. Finding any 1971 Monaco even back then was almost impossible, so I spent a lot of $$ saving it. Then, of course, the one I wanted to do even more showed up. Way too much was spent on saving the car, but seeing where it is now makes it all worthwhile. Keep up the good work!

70 Chargers look great but you can buy a 70 Charger any day of the week.

Work hard, earn money and you can easily later on buy one of them.
Polaras/Monacos from the Fuselage area are difficult to find

My thoughts exactly. I will have one. Maybe I'll build a big old AMD model kit.

The Monacucamonga lives! It drove under it's own power today! Still needs a bunch of tinkering and some panels swapped. But its alive! 5 years ago it was sitting in a Junkyard and Steve saved the car. I'm glad he did!

Even 5 years ago, they were so rare, I knew I had to save it despite the ridiculous cost of transporting it from Virginia to California and the cost of buying it too (and even with no body code plate). :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead: They just hardly exist anymore. But at least I got a clean title with it from the yard - normally when they are taken from a yard, they get a salvage title, but the guys at the yard did me a favor in that respect.

But I am glad I did - it now has your name written all over it! Enjoy it fully until you take it to the next level!

Well...after a little over a year of ownership, the Monacucamonga went to a new home today where a rotisserie restoration is planned.

I've had a blast with the car. Almost changed the entire car. Brought it back to life. Ran it down two different dragstrips. Beat plenty of cars street racing with the 3.91s. Plenty of burnouts. I dont normally like selling my cars but I had to make a tough decision. I know it was the right one though

The End.
