Hi all. I am new to the forums. The car I first purchased by myself with no help was a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury. It was purchased in Tucson, AZ, for I think around $1400. I had the car repainted, had the the seats reupholstered, and put in a new headliner and carpet. I drove it from Phoenix to NYC and back. It had the original, non-rebuilt 318 in it. It was an odd car, in that it had original Sport wheels, bucket seat, and console. With the 318. It also had the concave back window, which seems to be pretty rare.

I sold it, oh, about 6-7 years ago now. I believe a gentleman in Michigan bought it and then rebuilt the engine. I remember seeing it for sale a few years after I sold it.

Here's a couple pics of it. My friend Tom took them. He had a really nice Polara. I've since lost touch with him, but maybe he's a member on here. He was a great photographer.

In any event, I loved that car. I have not driven a car I've enjoyed more on the open highway than my '70 Sport Fury. Windows wide open, 75 mph, not a bit of wind hitting me in the head, face or body. Just designed great for such a drive.

As such, even though I don't have the space, or money, or time, I would like to locate another one with similar features. As long as it is not rusted out, runs, and is cheap, I can always slowly restore it. I suppose I can put a WTB in the classifieds?

Well, nice meeting y'all.

Welcome and nice Plymouth. I had a big block 71 Sport Fury years ago that was a blast to drive, so I know exactly how you feel about it. Cool car indeed. I'm sure you'll find others here that will dig it also!

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! That is a nice car. Can anyone provide more info about that concave back window? First I've heard of it but I me more of a slab fan.
