took the Poncho out for a great ride through the sunset, wonderful summerevening 80° and not a single cloud in sight...
had a real stressful day at work, just cruising 50 miles in the evening on these empty roads was just relaxing

I've seen a Tucker once in a museum near San Antonio TX and they had some of the companies history written down. Tucker was really ahead of time with options and technology they offered... The big 3 recognized that fairly quick and did everything to push tucker out of business and unfortunately they succeeded

“New Triumph Choppers”....
In the late 60’s-early 70’s, a customer could order a brand new Triumph, customized as they liked, from Van Nuys Cycle, in California.
Van Nuys would sell a person a brand new Triumph, customize it as the customer wanted, re-crate it, and then ship it to the customer.
These ”New Choppers” still had the original factory warranty.
This is a photo, of one of these “Triumph Choppers”, at the front of my parent’s Dealership in 1971....

The Harley dealer in Manhattan NYC where I bought my 1st Harley did the same thing.
When I went to pick up my Sportster in May as per the sales invoice for the deposit I left when I went there in the beginning of April they were hemming & hawing as they hadn't finished de-chopping it and returning it back to stock and wanted me to come back in a few days. Yea right, I just hired a friend with a pickup truck and traveled 200 miles to pick it up, end result was I ended up with a *FREE* chrome oil tank!

This 1955 photo from the files of GMC's Pontiac, Michigan Assembly Plant was taken in area where engines were staged prior to being moved to the assembly line. Note that there appear to be three different types of engines being used on '55 GMC trucks at Pontiac Assembly.
