Maybe you guys can help. I’ve done as much research as I could on this and came up with nothing. Not much left of the original package, all I can make out is the word moulding.
It was in a ziplock when I got it and written in marker on it is the part number followed by SOP and then another part number 2932199. It came with the load of mostly Imperial parts and based on the part number I’m roughly guessing it’s from ‘69 + or - a year?

That number is listed in my 68 parts catalog but drawing a blank when I tried to cross it.
In my parts index it references 23-BR-1 D series
2840591 is not in my 68 parts catalog.

Kinda looks like it trims out a tail or headlight door? Perhaps on the edge of a trunk lid or hood?

The number cast in the part is likely NOT the actual part number if it doesn't list out anywhere.

28xx xxx is a little late for 68 trim... possibly 66 or 67 trim.

@marty mopar ??

According to FCA it is a 1968 part one year only. Changed up from 2840591

Most times I find cast in numbers are one off from the part listing numbers. However, some say many times a part is "left or right" and you tell by whether it's "odd or even" which only adds to the confusion. Anyone can try looking it up here if you don't have the proper book; Mopar Part Number Search

Kinda looks like 69 Monaco front trim , like a spring special option.

This one has LH cast in it.

Well I just checked the part number look-up with 3 numbers up and down from both of them and nothing...

#2932200 came up '68 Imperial. Closest I saw..... another (close) just came up "moulding".

I don't have any info about sping special differences, nor know if this is genuine, but have a look;

Buy 1969 Dodge Polara Monaco front chrome kit pn# 3481842 "spring special" package motorcycle in Warminster, Pennsylvania, US, for US $175.00

is this an individual piece?

what ever it is, it looks like only the thin ,raised area shows

Possibly, maybe someone that has one of these could help confirm or deny that?

Found it! And learned that they don’t list every part number in the numerical index of the parts book. I ended up having to thumb through page by page to find it.

Cool!! ...and, proud to say I was in the ballpark with what it might be...

Soooo.... you would obviously be helping anyone who may ever search for the part if the Google brings them to this thread, but help me out (and yourself if you intend to sell that part to a searcher) with some clarification. This part is for a '68 Monoco wagon?? Woody only??
