Saw this car at Spring Fling a couple of years ago. Wanted it but he wanted I think 18 G's for it. Apparently it's here in Phoenix now. 1965 Dodge Custom 880 Wagon Factory 4sp

1965 Dodge Custom 880 2 Seat Wagon, 383 2bbl 270hp, FACTORY 4sp on the floor, 78K. Burgundy/Red with wood grain applique down the sides. Runs & drives great, 217 inches long, top of the line wagon for Dodge. Best wagon of any make for 65. 96 cubic feet of cargo area. Perfect beach car. Rare car only 4 made with this equipment. New heavy duty self adjusting brakes, rebuilt carb, new clutch & pressure plate. It has a factory 4sp transmission, shifts smooth no issues, rear electric window works. Doesn't need much, prep and prime ready for paint. It needs interior. The car is in Phoenix Az. I've done a lot toward the restoration of this car. The next decision is original or custom, up to you.

Hard to compare market. Not many 4sp wagons. Automatic pricing won't get it. 310-422-0004

I love it! Manual drum brakes should make it real interesting to drive.

automatic pricing?

Quality paint job $7500
Seat covers carpet etc $2000
Mechanical refresh $5000
Estimates might be a bit high depending on who you know and where you live but you could have $20-25k into it and have a rare 4 speed bb wagon. I would love to own it.

You wanted to do a road trip to AZ anyways.

It was you I was thinking of as the new owner, having been without a wagon for a few months now. My truck, your trailer, when do we leave?
I would have to run a fleet reduction sale. All proceeds would end up being wrapped up in that wagon. If you want to buy it, we can still use my trailer. :D

I would ditch the single pot master cylinder (mostly because I'm not lucky enough to be killed just permanently injured). Manual brakes I would take any day over power slugs.

That car has a lot of lower panel rust. And I wouldn't trust those primered rears either. Gotta be a reason if it ain't selling and I'm sure it's the rust. Seen and unseen. May be rusty enough to be unsafe.

Which reminds me. I now have room to store your 300 down here for you.

"I've done a lot toward the restoration of this car."....I don't see it?? Looks like other then some body work....and who knows what quality that is, it still needs a full resto. Neat car but IMHO I think the asking price is a tad high.

WAYYYY too high $, regardless of relative rarity for my purposes. Pity, because we WANT a wagon w a stick.......

Manual drum brakes utilizing the proper [modern] lining materials actually stop very well.

Please post the address of the place that will paint this car for $7500 with a quality paint job.

If the car was restored what is it worth?

I thought that was a Monaco only dash. Looks like they made their way into these to, and as I recall the Canadian 65's didn't get them. One of the nicest dashes ever, in my opinion. Looks even better with that cue ball in front of it.
