This is Edmonton's China town gate. It has to move to make way for a poorly designed above ground LRT. I just admire the absolutely robust set-up

poorly designed above ground LRT

In the western suburbs of Minneapolis, they are finally approving the "Green Line" LRT that has been in the works for over a decade. Started out at about $500 million. Now, 10+ years later, it's up over $2 billion. Pretty much the same plan, but every city along the line bitched and complained, one after the other, when they didn't like a wall, or the freight traffic, or whatever. I'm sure it will save all the endangered species of the world now that it has approval. Glad I live in farm country now.
