Greetings to all. Anybody have any experience with finding floor mats? I’m looking for the rubber OEM style for my ’64 Newport. Any info is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Floor mats were offered as an OEM option only intermittently, and more often in the 1970's in general. You can download the data book from HamtramckHistorical for your year and see if they are listed as an option.
They were more consistenlty offered as a Mopar accessory; same source can find an accessory catalog for that era.

Back then, aftermarket floor mats were much more common than OEM accessory items, as I recall. FEW dealers carried them in stock, unless it was a big metro dealership.

Aftermarket floor mats were everywhere, though. Many with "official looking" emblems on them. "Clear" became popular for those that wanted to see the carpets underneath.

Most of the current-era floor mats can be too narrow for those wide front footwells, but places like WalMart still carry them.

They were also much cheaper to buy at K-Mart than at the dealer.

FYI, I used to buy wider floor mats made for pickup trucks. I don't know if they are available anymore though as I haven't looked.

Great idea. NAPA / BALKAMP may have it.
