Will a B body 383 pan (Charger, Coronet) fit a '66 Polara with a 383? They look the same (no steering relief) laying under the car.
Thanks in advance!

Most of the 383/440 pans in a C-Body have a relief dent on the passenger side to clear the steering linkage. The short answer is that a B-Body pan will probably hit the linkage, so no it probably won't fit.

If your current pan has no steering relief, I con't see why a B-body center sump pan would not work. However, @Badvert65 is a slab side guy and can probably give a firm answer.

Your idler arm won't clear it. I've persuaded non C big block pans to work C bodies but basically only to scoot it around the yard.
