There's not a lot of gas stations with repair shops anymore. I can't think of any around here. Now they have convivence stores.

This is a pretty good story. Plainville, Mass.

"The building was originally an atrium to a Victorian Mansion. The mansion burned and all that was saved was the atrium. It was moved to Plainville, Massachusetts and became a filling station after a fire destroyed the mansion. Today the building is currently being used as part of an oil company."

Even better, they make an HO scale version of this station! Octagon Filling Station - Premium Kit - HO - Bollinger Edgerly Scale Trains

Don Lee’s Cadillac dealership and W6XAO television broadcasting station, 7th and Bixel Streets, Downtown Los Angeles (1930s)
It was acquired by Thomas LaRue in 1965 and renamed Thomas Cadillac. The business was closed in 1989 and the building demolished.

Here is my Dads gas station from 1960 until 1968. I worked there starting at 10 years old. so I got to see every car model under the sun, serviced them, and had front seat at all the street racing of the time! I just sat on the curb by that stoplight and watched!

it was a Mobil station in North Omaha at the corner of 30th and Potter.
and, you couldn't hardly cross the street without running into a world war 2 vet, or a returning Vietnam vet.
It is an unforgetable time for me growing up.

You have to wonder about why someone thought it would be a good idea to put a creepy looking horse in a cape on top of their gas station.
