I am I going to have to walk on water to get there?? lol
Sorry, not my stomping grounds... but I will wander over that way if you show up.so where the heck is the RV area??
Sorry Carmine, I just picked up on this thread... I am working my long schedule all week, but if you're around on the weekend I would enjoy meeting you and I always enjoy a walk through the yards... LKQ on rt50 and UPAP on Jetstream are my goto for older late model stuff, I haven't been in either for a while... their online inventories haven't been too promising for me lately. The Central Florida place had a few older cars I had heard, but I haven't been there. They were briefly a racing complex that got cut short by noise abatement. I was told by several that they were not very competitive on their pricing... but who cares if all you want is a look around.
I don't believe any of the others operate as "do it yourself", but may let you into their yards if you ask.
Saturday or Sunday, I can gather tools and meet up if you like... give me a heads up if you want any specialty tools. PM if any of that works for you. I blew my back out Thursday, but I should be good to go by the weekend.
BTW, I had considered tire kicking that wagon just to see where the heck that building was, thanks Stan, I think you nailed it.

So here is CFPP... About the only interesting car:

Most interesting from the insurance investigation side... What doomed this car was the expert wiring job in the subwoofer amps (some of it hanging out the rear door). Essentially a small interior fire in the rear package shelf. Bass can kill.
I've always wanted to buy one of these end-of-era Dodge vans and deck it out like a total 70s shagging wagon. This was pretty close, shame to see it here because the body was super clean. ***, grass or cash... + Overdrive, EFI and a roller cam.

Too bad I'll miss you... I would have been cool to put a face to the name. And, I will take about any excuse to spend a morning in the JY... I am actually impressed you did as well as you did in the "old car" department, they always have a few... but seldom are very interesting or useful.Cantflip... Sorry it took me a day to respond, this site doesn't work that well on my phone. We are leaving Thursday afternoon, so won't be around. Turns out yesterday was about the best day for some JY action (cloudy/yucky) so I didn't miss any pool time. I went to U Pull & Pay first, then Central Florida Pick & Pay, since they are about 10 mins from each other. There are two more I might check out if I have time tomorrow before our flight. (Today I was busy hugging an alligator in our resort lobby.)
So here's what's out there so far, hopefully this helps somebody who needs '69 Newport Vert parts. There sure ain't much left, but what's great about all-you-can-eat style is if you need some kind of stupid little bracket. Don't bother going for a door lock retainer clip or a outside mirror escrution, I took those
This poor thing lead a hard life, God only knows how many color changes and "restorations" were done before it ended up here. Build tag long gone...
