Looking to satisfy my curiosity about the differences in B-pillar trim on slabsider 4 door sedans.

Both of my '67 4DSD's have plastic trim covers with no windlace.

I've seen metal covers with windlace on earlier years.

Any '67 or '68 I've seen do not have any windlace at the B-pillar.

There are punchout holes for windlace clips on my cars.

Any pics/input is appreciated.

John

I have a 68 Plymouth but it is a 4 door Hardtop. However, the B pillar trim on mine looks just like the bottom part of yours with just 'trimmed' and finished off at window level. I have seen the trim in metal on earlier cars - as late as 67 but not after that I recall. Every trim panel I saw that was metal had the windlace, the plastic trim like yours and mine always 'wraps around' the edges and never needed/had windlace. I suspect the punch out holes for windlace in our cars is just a carryover from previous years until they did a total redesign in 69.
