Project Farm: Car Battery Test

If you have a farm store nearby try the cheapest battery per group size. I did this and it lasted almost 18 years on my '59 Imperial.

I was once told by a battery specialist, that something about the group 65 batteries made them one of the best batteries. Something about proportions? They are heavy though, and alot more than needed for most applications. I'll admit to being a cheapskate and buying my batteries "restored" by "the battery Doctor". More often than not, they get practically new "duds", thoroughly clean the inside, and add new acid with a conditioner. I've been buying from them for years and always get at least five years out of them. Can't go wrong at 50$, 40$ with your old battery exchanged.

The battery I have seen fail the most in the past is the Walmart Neverstart (everstart).
