To young for sure. Saved by the Bell was a cool show for the kids back then. RIP Young man.

From what I've read, he had a troubled adulthood, not too unusual for a child star, especially one that played a character like Screech. I think a couple other kids from the show did OK, but IIRC, one girl has had a very hard time. A lot of the kids from the Little Rascals had problems that ended their lives early, or made their lives miserable. Carl Switzer (Alfalfa) comes to mind here.

My boys loved the show and I have to say, it was good TV for kids.
