Has 3.73 stamp on rearend
Kinda looks like 8/34?

Has what appears to be a square drain plug on it, if that's what it is, that rules out 1965-newer cars (unless someone added it).
Has no pinion snubber, so that's a clue perhaps for whether it's 64-older or a Dodge truck.

The semi-shpere sticking out the back is really rounded, so I would guess it's not 8 or 9" Ford, I thought those were flatter and more ovalled.

It would be interesting to know how this thing was kept lubed. Filled up past the gears with gear lube, or was it heavily greased? Runs at very low rpm so lube requirements are quite different than when used in a vehicle.

Not a ford, 8" or 9", the pinion isn't bolted in to the front of the diff.
Can you get a shot of the casting numbers on the diff?
My $.02
