I am thinking about putting P275/60/15's with 8" magnum 500's on my 66 300. That is what is on the back of my 67 Newport, so I am assuming they will fit. Is anyone else running this size on the back of a 65 or 66?

G'Day,
Just My Opinion But, I Think the 295s Might be a Little Wide on 8" Rims,
I'm Looking at Running 275 - 295s on 10" Rims. (69 Fury / Phoenix)
Forgive Me But I Have This Cartoonish Thought of Drifting Sideways into a Left Hand Corner at Speed
And Having the Sidewalls of the Tyres Suddenly Shifting to the Right as I Straighten Up!
With the Resulting Twitch being a Little Unsettling to Say the Least! LOL
Anyway I'm NO Expert!
Others May Know More.
All the Best.

Thanks, I'm considering 275's, not 295's. 8" falls within the recommended rim width.

I have 4 sets of wheels that are 15x8 with 295/50/15's on them for the rears.

I run a 275/60/14 on my Polara, and a 15 will fit fine when I go to 15" wheels. My axle isn't perfectly centered, so the right side rubs on turns into a driveway or parking lot sometimes,

I have 255/50/17 on an 8" rim on my 65 Monaco. I've never had a problem with them rubbing or hitting. The key is wheels with zero offset. Getting them off and on requires jacking the car up by the front spring perch so the rear axle hangs. The pictures aren't great. It's still in the body shop.

these are 15x8's and 275/60x15 all the way around . we needed to do a slight mod to the skirts to get them to latch . this is my 67 300 with 60's vintage american torq thrusts 15x8.5 with 245/60x15's on the rear . but i change the rear end out for a 66 67 b body one to help with the 1.25 pos off set on these rims . skirts fit with no issues .
