Hello,

Is there a difference between 1965 plymouth fury 4 door hardtop and 2 door hardtop rear window gasket?

I can find a replacement for 2 door but cannot for the life of me find one for my four door

The rear window 4 door hardtop gasket is next to nothing available.
In the repop world, not as popular as the 2 door cars.
The two cars do have different roof lines and different rear windows.
I will check with my source and get back to you.

I looked for the same seal for my '70 4d HT a few years ago. No vendor had the faintest idea which one would fit. Metro Seal, Restoration Specialties, Year One, Laysons, you name it. No one knew anything.

Eventually I found out by trial-and-error method, that it's same seal that was used on many A-bodies, and B-bodies during the '60's:

Metro Seal # VS 7A-FL (FL for flocked surface):
Metro Moulded Parts ~ Top Quality Automotive Weatherstripping and Rubber Parts

My source has confirmed....no longer available.
As mentioned before, get in touch with Soft-Seal.
OR
Search for a donor/parts car 65-66 4 door hardtop with rear window still intact. Cut the roof off or very carefully remove the glass without damaging the gasket.
If you can find a gasket as a core,Soft-Seal or another rubber company may be able to copy it.
Hope this helps .

Worst case scenario...
Get two of the gaskets that go to a different roofline and splice corners and lengths as needed to fit your model. Jus goop up the butts real good.
I did it on my 66 2 dr sedan.

I see a problem right there.

To the contrary: I think it the Restoration Specialties part #WCRDB3215 just might be the correct one.

As I tried to point in my previous post, MaMopar obviously used generic rubber seal profiles on many models. (What else would you expect from smart engineers with low to no engineering budget?)

Nowadays the problem is not that the parts would not be available to our cars. More often the problem is rather that nobody has even a clue about the interchangeability of the repro parts. Not even the manufacturers themselves! As I found out regarding my '70 4d HT.

Even more common is that the information about original source of some repro parts is being diluted because of commercial interests. - I bet the "Restoration Specialties" part discussed here was made in MN by Metro Seals. And sold by many brand retailers under their own part numbers for 2 to 3x the original cost.

Really tough for me to swallow that a 64 pre-C body Fury and a 65 full size C-body Fury share a rear window. I think the mfgr doesn't know their Furys. It's for a 64 and earlier or a 65 and later. Not both.
It's a common mistake. Like with 73 and 74 Furys You see listings that say "fits 69-74 Fury. Impossible.

Stan,my gut says it may not be the right one. Hence why I recommended ChrisBcream to call the supplier.
But it never hurts to try.

I could see them saying 65 and 66 but not 64. completely different cars as Stan was saying but you never know with these cars.
